Alina Aliazar, Therapist Intern

My name is Alina Aliazar. I love engaging therapy from an empowering and strength-based approach. All of your talents, gifts, and abilities can be assets when we work together

I am a Christian and would love an opportunity to integrate faith into our sessions. I know how much strength can be gained from using faith as a foundation in the work that we do.

Our time together will be built on trust, collaboration, and exploration. I value empathy, warmth, and open-mindedness. I believe that it is necessary to be patient with yourself through the therapy process. It may be difficult at times, but it will be worth it.

It is important to me that all of your identities are acknowledged, valued, and respected. My goal is to foster a therapeutic environment that is healing, engaging, and safe.

A bit about my background:

I graduated from Grand Valley State University with a Bachelors of Science in Behavioral Neuroscience and a minor in Women and Gender Studies. I am currently studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling as a graduate student at Western Michigan University. Go Broncos!

I am fluent in English, Arabic, Assyrian, and Chaldean.
