Navigating through life can be a rollercoaster ride, with no blueprint telling us what to do. Like a rollercoaster ride, life comes with many ups and downs, and obstacles in between.
At times we may feel stuck, or that we have exhausted all of our options, these thoughts are normal. My goal in counseling is to help you get unstuck and get you back on the ride we call life.
I value the uniqueness of each person I counsel. My orientation is strength-based and solution-focused. I am trained in Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT).
My goal is to help you find obtainable solutions that apply to you and your unique experiences. As well as utilizing the strengths that you possess.
I focus on the intersectionality of the mind, body, and spirit. As each plays a crucial role in who we are, our beliefs, behaviors and values.
I have a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Western Michigan University. I also hold a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Central Michigan University, with a minor in Substance Abuse Education: Prevention, Intervention, and Treatment.
I enjoy working with adults and teens who struggle with addictive behaviors such as substance abuse, eating disorders, and self-injury. I also have a passion for working with people who suffer with depression, mood instability, and adjustment disorders as well as everyday life challenges.
